"The best way to spread Christmas Cheer, is singing loud for all to hear"

'Tis the season! Thanksgiving has past and the countdown to Christmas has officially begun! I just love the holidays. Its the one time you really feel excitement in the air and magic all around. Who doesn't love driving at night and seeing house after house glowing in holiday lights? (If only I was president, I would make it legal to keep holiday lights up year round) In the spirit of the holidays, and some inspiration by Buddy the Elf, I made a little Winter Bucket List:
  • See a play
  • Make gingerbread houses
  • Find the best decorated house
  • Road trip up north with the girls
  • Go swimming (although I'll probably regret it)
  • Make ornaments
  • Volunteer at a soup kitchen
  • Make peppermint bark
  • Visit Zoo Lights
  • Host a white elephant party
  • Find the best gift for mom and dad
  • Randomly start caroling in a public place
Let the festivities begin!!

"Gratitude turns what we have into enough"

Well, its about that time again. The holiday season is rollin' on in and will be here before we know it. Thanksgiving is in a few weeks and I've just been thinking alot about how blessed and thankful I am to be given the life I have. I was just recently given my first car by my parents on Wednesday, I have the opportunity to be in the first musical production at Basha, the football team has made it to the playoffs, I have the best friends any teenage girl could ask for, and school is going really well. The list goes on for days, but the one thing that I am most grateful for is my family. They mean EVERYTHING to me.

I come from a very big, tight knit, Italian family. We're your typical fat, pizza making, loud Italians that you either love or are scared of. Everyone is in everyone's business all the time, we argue, we make up, but above all that, we love each other unconditionally. I thank God everyday for giving me a functional family I can rely on, a family that works hard, and loves even harder. I'm thankful that I have the ability to watch my younger cousins grow up to be the future of this family, to see them learn and ask crazy, unthinkable questions. I'm thankful to have have parents that take interest in what I love to do, and encourage my ideas no matter how crazy and impossible they may be. To have a sister and brother in law who are my biggest fans at anything I take part in, and are blessing me with a neice in three months. To have grandparents who always find a way to make it feel like they are present even when they are half way around the world. To have godparents who make me feel like I'm their own child. To have aunts and uncles who prove that hard work pays off, and all good things come in time. I'm thankful to be put in a family like this and wouldnt trade it for the world. Friends come and go, but family is forever. You can take everything away, but having my family will be more than enough for me, and for them I am forever grateful.
